About Tayport

Tayport Limited is a professional services consulting firm specializing in strategic planning for fire and emergency services.  Tayport is an Ontario-based, employee-owned, Canadian company.  The company began in 2022 when Dillon Consulting Limited made a corporate decision to change the way it delivers fire and emergency services planning.  The legacy fire and emergency services team from Dillon Consulting formed Tayport Limited to lead and manage new fire and emergency services projects.  Tayport delivers projects with contracted support from Dillon Consulting’s multidisciplinary resources.

The owner and principal of Tayport, Suzanne Charbonneau-Dent, is a licenced professional engineer with a Master’s in Public Administration (Local Government).  Suzanne has worked on fire and emergency services planning projects since 2006 and led the fire and emergency services group at Dillon for over a decade.

 

Tayport also employs a senior fire and emergency services consultant and retired fire chief, Steve Thurlow, who was a project manager and project technical lead with Dillon Consulting for over 15 years.

The aim of Tayport is to seamlessly continue the successful delivery of fire and emergency services planning to our clients, which have historically been provided by Dillon’s fire and emergency services team for more than 30 years.  Our corporate philosophy, policies and practices are strongly influenced by our origins.
